This policy explains what information Old Dog Products (“we”, “us”), operated by Olddogproducts (Boise, Idaho), collects when you use olddogproducts.com, and how we use it.
What we collect
- The Comfort Check: only if you tick the box and enter your email, we send your name, email, your dog’s details and a summary of your results to our email provider, ActiveCampaign, so we can email your checklist and tips, and we use your answers to tailor which tips we send. If you don’t tick the box, nothing is sent and your answers stay in your browser. If you answer “Yes” to the emergency question, nothing is saved or sent.
- Email sign-ups: your email address, first name if you give it, and the date and wording of any consent you gave.
- Emails you send us: your address and what you wrote, so we can reply.
- Affiliate links: when you click a link to Amazon or another store, that store may set its own cookies to credit us for the referral.
How we use it
- If you ticked the box: to email your checklist, tips and offers (you can unsubscribe at any time from any email). We haven’t started sending emails yet; we’ll start soon.
- To reply to your emails.
- To understand which pages help people, and improve the site.
Lawful basis (UK and EU visitors)
- Emailing your checklist, tips and offers: your consent (UK/EU GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given when you tick the box. You can withdraw it anytime by unsubscribing. The checklist shown on the page is worked out in your browser; we don’t receive or store it.
- Analytics cookies: your consent.
- Replying to your emails: our legitimate interest in answering you.
How long we keep it
- Subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe.
- Our sign-up server keeps a scrambled (hashed) copy of your IP address for about 10 minutes to block spam.
- Unsubscribed addresses are kept only on a do-not-email list, so we don’t email you again.
- Support emails are kept for 2 years.
- Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Who we share it with
Service providers who process data for us: ActiveCampaign (email), SiteGround (hosting) and Google (analytics, only if you accept cookies).
International transfers
Our providers are based in the US. Where a provider is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension), we rely on that; otherwise we use Standard Contractual Clauses.
California and US state privacy rights
We don’t sell or share personal information.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by emailing hello@olddogproducts.com.
Children
This site is not intended for children under 16.
